Terraform uses the same version constraint syntax for required_version, provider version arguments and module version arguments. A constraint is a string containing one or more conditions separated by commas, and a version is acceptable only if it meets all of them. Versions follow semantic versioning: MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH, where a major bump may break compatibility, a minor bump adds features and a patch bump fixes bugs.
