A module import declaration, finalized in Java 25, lets you import an entire module's API in one line: import module java.base;. It imports, on demand, every public top-level class and interface in every package the module exports. It also includes packages exported by modules that the named module requires transitively. For example, java.sql requires java.xml transitively, so import module java.sql; also makes java.xml's exported types available.
