Getting data and workloads into Azure is often the first real project an organization runs in the cloud. Azure offers different tools depending on how much data there is, how often it moves, whether you want a command line or a graphical tool, and whether you are moving files or whole servers. The exam gives you a short scenario and expects you to pick the tool that fits, so it helps to know the one clue that points to each. AzCopy is a command-line utility for copying blobs or files to or from a storage account, and between storage accounts. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, can be scripted for repeated jobs, and authenticates with Microsoft Entra ID or a shared access signature (SAS), a signed URL that grants limited access. azcopy copy performs copies, while azcopy sync synchronizes in one direction only, making the destination match the source. It does not keep two locations in continuous two-way sync. For example:
