Infrastructure as code (IaC) means describing Azure resources in files and letting Azure Resource Manager (ARM) create them, instead of clicking through the portal. The files are repeatable, reviewable and version-controlled, so the same environment can be built for development, test and production without drift. Azure's native formats are ARM templates, written in JSON (JavaScript Object Notation), and Bicep, a simpler language that compiles to ARM JSON. The exam expects you to read both, change a value and deploy.
