Compute is only part of an AWS bill. Data transfer and storage charges can be significant and are a common source of surprise costs, so the exam expects you to understand the basic pricing patterns. You do not need to memorize prices, which change and vary by Region, but you do need to know which movements of data cost money, which are usually free, and how storage classes trade storage price against access price.
