Mobile devices have few physical ports, so knowing the connectors, what they can carry and how to extend them is a core technician skill. On the exam you will be shown or described a connector and asked to identify it, or given a user's goal, such as one cable to power and connect two monitors, and asked to pick the right port or accessory. The central idea is that a connector's shape and the features it carries are two different things.
