Accessories extend what a mobile device can do, and supporting them is a daily task for a technician. Most connect in one of three ways: a wired USB connection, Bluetooth, or a built-in interface such as the 3.5 mm headphone jack. Knowing how each accessory connects tells you where to look when it fails. The A+ exam usually presents a user complaint about an accessory and expects you to start with the simplest likely cause before replacing hardware.
