terraform destroy removes every object managed by the current configuration and state. It is how you tear down a temporary environment, clean up after a lab, or retire a stack completely. Because it deletes real infrastructure, it follows the same safety pattern as apply: it shows a plan of everything to be destroyed and waits for you to type yes.
