Setting the default boot target (systemctl get-default, set-default)

A systemd target is a named group of units that represents a system state. It replaces the old numbered runlevels. At boot, systemd starts the default target and everything it depends on. The two targets you will set most often are multi-user.target, a full system with networking and services but a text console only, and graphical.target, which adds a graphical login on top of multi-user.
