Mounting attaches a file system to a directory, its mount point, so its contents appear there. A mount command lasts only until reboot. For a file system to be mounted automatically every boot, it must have an entry in /etc/fstab (file system table). The RHCSA grades your storage work after a reboot, so a correct fstab entry is essential, and a broken one can stop the system at an emergency shell.
