dnf is the package manager on RHEL. Its job is to install software from the configured repositories while resolving dependencies: if a package needs libraries or other packages, dnf finds and installs them too, and when you remove something it removes packages that depend on it. Almost every service task on the RHCSA begins with installing a package, so these commands need to be second nature.
