The platform module lets a program find out about the computer and the Python interpreter it is running on. That is useful for bug reports, for choosing file paths or commands that differ between operating systems, and for checking that the interpreter is new enough. Every function listed in the objective returns a string, except python_version_tuple(), which returns a tuple of strings. The exact values depend entirely on the machine, so exam questions ask about what kind of information each function gives rather than a specific output.
