A network is only as reliable as its physical installation. Good planning of equipment rooms, racks, airflow and cabling makes a network easier to troubleshoot, expand and keep cool, while poor installation causes overheating, intermittent faults and hours wasted tracing unlabelled cables. Network+ expects you to know the vocabulary of structured cabling, rack sizing and airflow, and to recognise good and bad practices from a description or a photo-style scenario.
