Documentation turns a network from something only one person understands into something a team can operate. Good documentation speeds troubleshooting, supports audits, change planning and security, and makes onboarding easier. It only helps if it is accurate, so updating documentation should be a required step in every change, not an afterthought. Network+ expects you to know which document answers which question, because many scenario questions ask 'which document should the technician consult?'.
