A filesystem is the on-disk structure that organizes data into files and directories, tracks free space and stores metadata such as permissions. Linux supports many, but Linux+ focuses on three: ext4, XFS and Btrfs. You need to know how to create each, mount it, grow it, check it, and measure how full it is, and you need to know which operations each one does not support.
