Ansible is an agentless configuration management and automation tool. A control node connects to managed hosts over SSH (or WinRM for Windows), pushes small programs called modules, runs them and removes them. Nothing needs to be installed on managed Linux hosts except SSH and Python, which makes Ansible easy to adopt. Linux+ uses it as the main example of automated configuration, so learn its vocabulary: inventory, module, task, play, playbook, handler, role and vault.
