One of Juniper's main selling points, and a recurring exam theme, is that the same operating system, Junos OS, runs across many product families: MX routers, PTX core routers, ACX access routers, EX and QFX switches and SRX security gateways. If you learn the CLI on a virtual router in your lab, the same commands, hierarchy and commit model carry over to a campus switch or a firewall.
