Junos names network interfaces in a consistent format that tells you exactly where a port is in the hardware: type-fpc/pic/port, followed by .unit for a logical unit. For example, ge-0/0/1.0 is a gigabit Ethernet port on FPC 0, PIC 0, port 1, logical unit 0. Reading these names quickly is basic Junos literacy.
