SD-WAN rules (also called SD-WAN services) decide which member carries a given class of traffic, using the measurements from performance SLAs. Each rule matches traffic (by source, destination, application, or ISDB) and applies a strategy for choosing among the eligible members. Knowing the four strategies and the implicit rule is core exam material.
