The 6 GHz band is the newest Wi-Fi spectrum, used by Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) and Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) devices. In the United States regulators opened 1200 MHz from 5.925 to 7.125 GHz for unlicensed use; many other countries, including much of Europe, opened a smaller portion, and some have opened none. That makes regulatory domain settings especially important in this band.
