A service level objective (SLO) is the internal target for that indicator, such as 99.9 percent of requests succeeding over 30 days. A service level agreement (SLA) is a contract with customers that states a level of service and what happens if it is missed, usually service credits (a partial refund), not compensation for your business losses.
