The shared responsibility model is the agreement, sometimes written and sometimes only implied, about which security tasks the provider performs and which the customer performs. Most real cloud breaches happen on the customer side of the line: a storage bucket left public, an over-privileged access key, an unpatched virtual machine. The CCSP exam tests whether you can place each task on the correct side for IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
