Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN (formerly Viptela) separates the WAN into distinct planes, each handled by a different component. This separation is what lets you manage hundreds of branch routers as one fabric from a single dashboard. ENCOR expects you to name each component, its plane and what it does. Cisco renamed the components; you will see both the old and new names.
