Microsoft Cost Management is the built-in service for monitoring, allocating and optimizing what you spend in Azure. It appears in the Azure portal as Cost Management + Billing, works for subscriptions, resource groups, management groups and billing accounts, and its core features come at no extra cost. Where the calculators estimate, Cost Management reports actual spending and forecasts future spending, which makes it the place you go after resources are deployed. Access follows RBAC: roles such as Cost Management Reader or Cost Management Contributor let finance staff see costs without being able to change resources.
