Streaming data arrives continuously, such as clickstreams, application logs, Internet of Things (IoT) sensor readings or financial transactions, and often needs to be processed within seconds rather than in a nightly batch. AWS offers three main ingestion services. The exam distinguishes them by how much control you need, whether data must be replayed, whether you already use Apache Kafka, and where the data is going.
