Cloud service models describe what a cloud provider manages for you and what you still manage yourself. Think of a stack of layers: the physical data center, networking, storage, servers and virtualization at the bottom; then the operating system and middleware; then the runtime, applications and data at the top. Each service model hands a different amount of that stack to the provider. The more the provider manages, the less control you have and the less work you do.
