Cables and connectors are the physical glue of every computer and network, and the A+ exam expects you to identify them by name, shape and purpose, and to choose the right one for a job. Many questions show or describe a connector and ask what it is, or give a requirement such as 10 Gbps over 90 meters and ask which cable category to use.
