Terraform's normal output tells you what it plans and what went wrong at a high level. When you need to see what is happening underneath (which API calls a provider makes, how Terraform walks the dependency graph, why a plugin crashed), you turn on detailed logging with environment variables. No command-line flag does this; it is controlled entirely by the environment.
