Access control is about ensuring only authorized subjects reach protected resources. That applies to both the physical world, rooms, buildings and equipment, and the logical world, networks, systems and data. The SSCP exam expects you to tell the two apart, to see how they depend on each other, and to recognize when a scenario needs one or the other.
