Physical security protects buildings, rooms and equipment, and it matters because a person with physical access can bypass many technical controls: they can steal a laptop, plug a rogue device into a network port, or read a password taped to a monitor. SY0-701 expects you to know the common physical controls, what each is good for, and how they layer from the outside of a site inward. Think of rings: the perimeter, the building, restricted areas inside, and finally the individual rack or device.
