nmtui (NetworkManager text user interface) is a menu-driven program for the same tasks you do with nmcli. It runs in any terminal, uses the arrow keys, Tab, Enter and the space bar, and writes the same keyfiles as nmcli. Under exam time pressure, many people find it quicker and less error-prone for one-off changes, because every field is labeled and nothing needs exact property names. It comes from the NetworkManager-tui package, which may need installing.
