Quality tools help a team understand problems using data instead of opinions. On the exam you will usually be given a situation, or a description of a chart, and asked which tool fits. So for each chart, learn the question it answers: how values are distributed, which causes matter most, whether a process is stable over time, whether two variables are related, or what might be causing a problem.
