When an expression contains several operators, Python uses priority (also called precedence) to decide which operations happen first, and binding (associativity) to decide the order among operators of the same priority. Parentheses override both, so in your own code, add them whenever the order is not obvious. The exam, however, gives you expressions without helpful parentheses and asks for the result, so you need the table in your head.
