The Java Platform Module System (JPMS), introduced in Java 9, groups packages into named modules with explicit dependencies and explicit public APIs. A module is described by a file named module-info.java placed at the root of the module's source folder, next to the top-level package directories. It compiles to module-info.class. The module name usually follows reverse-domain style, like com.shop.orders, and it must be unique on the module path.
