The List interface has two methods named remove. E remove(int index) removes the element at a position and returns it. boolean remove(Object o) removes the first element equal to o and returns true if it found one. With a List<String> there is no confusion, but with a List<Integer> a call like list.remove(1) could mean either, and the exam loves this trap.
