Fortinet exam day
Covers: FortiGate Admin NSE4_FGT_AD-7.6
How scoring works
- You receive pass or fail when you finish. Check the Fortinet Training Institute exam page for current scoring details.
- The score report shows how you did in each topic area, which helps if you need a retake.
Question types
- Mostly multiple choice with single and multiple answers. Many questions show FortiGate GUI screenshots, CLI output or debug output and ask you to interpret them.
- Know the common diagnostic commands and what their output means. Troubleshooting questions often hinge on one line of a debug flow or session table.
- Questions are tied to a specific FortiOS version. Study the version your exam covers, as defaults and menus change between releases.
Time and pacing
- Screenshot and output questions take longer to read. Answer the short recall questions quickly to bank time.
- Use flag-and-review if your exam allows it, and check the review screen for unanswered questions before you finish.
Test center vs online
- Exams can be taken at a Pearson VUE test center or online through OnVUE with an ID check and room scan.
- Breaks are generally not allowed during online exams. Check your confirmation for current rules.
Booking, retakes and renewal
- Book through the Fortinet Training Institute and Pearson VUE. Check the current retake policy before rebooking.
- Fortinet certifications are valid for a fixed period. Check the Fortinet Training Institute's certification policy for the current validity and how to recertify.
Policies change. Check the vendor's candidate handbook and your booking confirmation for the current rules.
