Software is no longer built by a lone programming team that hands finished code to operations. It is produced by an ecosystem of people, tools, services and suppliers, and security has to be woven into that whole system. The CISSP outline highlights integrated product teams (IPTs) as one way to do it: bring security into the group that builds the product rather than keeping it outside as a reviewer.
