The information security program serves many stakeholders: the board, executives, business unit leaders, IT, audit, legal, regulators, employees, customers and partners. Each needs different information, at a different level of detail and frequency. Communicating well is how the information security manager builds support, secures resources and keeps the program aligned with the business. A technically excellent program that nobody understands will lose funding and influence.
