An audit only changes things when its results are communicated clearly and acted on. Reporting, follow-up and quality assurance close the loop: the report tells the right people what is wrong and why it matters, follow-up confirms that fixes actually happened, and quality assurance keeps the audit function itself credible. The CISA exam tests each of these, and especially the boundaries of the auditor's role.
