Azure Site Recovery (ASR) is Azure's disaster recovery as a service. It continuously replicates machines to a secondary location and orchestrates failover when disaster strikes. For this exam, two scenarios matter: on-premises Hyper-V VMs replicating to Azure, and Azure VMs replicating from one Azure region to another. Everything is managed from a Recovery Services vault, which also hosts Azure Backup.
