Amazon S3 holds a large share of the world's cloud data, and misconfigured buckets are a well-known cause of breaches. S3 gives you layers of protection against two different threats: exposure, meaning the wrong people reading data, and loss, meaning data being deleted or overwritten by mistake, by a bug or by ransomware. The exam asks you to pick the right control for each threat, so it helps to sort every feature into one of those two groups.
