AWS CodeDeploy automates deploying application revisions to three compute platforms: EC2 and on-premises servers, Lambda, and Amazon ECS. For each deployment it reads an application specification file, appspec.yml (or JSON for Lambda and ECS), which describes what to deploy and which lifecycle event hooks to run. The exam tests the hook order and which hooks exist on each platform.
