Every call your code makes to AWS, whether through an AWS SDK (for Python it is Boto3, for JavaScript it is the AWS SDK for JavaScript v3, and so on) or the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI), is an HTTPS request to a service API, signed with Signature Version 4 (SigV4) using credentials. Knowing where those credentials come from, and how to handle multi-page results, long operations and errors, is core developer knowledge.
