Azure Functions runs small pieces of code in response to events without you managing servers. Each function has exactly one trigger, the event that starts it (an HTTP request, a timer, a queue message), and optionally bindings, which connect it declaratively to other services for input and output. Bindings remove boilerplate: instead of writing SDK code to read a blob or send a queue message, you declare the binding and use a parameter.
