Organizations that let staff use phones and tablets for work need a way to configure, secure and track those devices at scale. MDM (mobile device management) provides that central control over the whole device. MAM (mobile application management) is a narrower approach that manages only the organization's apps and data rather than the whole device. Both are delivered through a management console, often a cloud service, that pushes settings to enrolled devices. For A+ you need to know how devices are enrolled, what policies can do, and which kind of wipe fits which ownership model.
